According to estimates by the World Bank, the reconstruction of Ukraine will cost around 450 billion euros – and in this sum, of course, only the damage that was caused in the war lasting more than three years until the end of 2024. The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj put the damage at the reconstruction conference at 850 billion euros. What is certain is that the intensity of the destruction by Russian bombs, rockets, drones and artillery shot has increased significantly in the past few months: Russia has shot down 741 drones and rockets on Ukraine in the night from July 9th – immediately before the conference in Rome. As many as never before since the start of the war in February 2022.
