The technical area of the (Federal Court of Audit) considered that there is “sufficient evidence of irregularity” (-SP) during its stay.

The opinion was sent by the TCU Legislative and Judiciary Supervisory Board and validated by the leadership of audits, on Friday (11), in the case related to the case in the court.

It will be up to the Rapporteur Minister Benjamin Zymler to decide whether to follow the technicians’ recommendation and ask the board of directors and the internal control unit to find out such indications.

The report sought the parliamentarian through her team, but there was no answer.

The process was opened at the request of the Federal Deputy (PSOL-SP). He argued that Eduardo would be promoting political articulations against Brazilian national sovereignty, which is a crime.

According to Boulos, this would be in the Penal Code article that typifies negotiations with foreign government or group, or its agents, in order to cause typical acts of war against the country or invade it.

The unit’s opinion was sent two days apóse through an offensive to defend the former president.

The TCU board adopted as a basis, in the evaluation, the absences of the parliamentarian, in the report of presence in plenary of the Portal of Transparency of the House.

According to this document, the deputy only justified one of his five absences in deliberative sessions this year, until the beginning of his removal by license for health care, and, later, private interests, on March 20.

According to the TCU, the portal did not present indications that there was a discount on the remuneration of the parliamentarian due to these absences, as determined by the House.

The technicians, however, evaluated that the case should be determined by the House itself, since, if proven, the irregularities did not reach a minimum of R $ 120,000 of damage to the public coffers. The value has served as a base in the TCU for opening investigations.

Prior to the opinion of the head and the TCU board of directors, another auditor of the unit had spoken out against the request, as there was a single request for an international air ticket reimbursement, in the amount of R $ 8,180, March 2024, through the parliamentary quota. Their superiors, however, disagreed with the evaluation.

Boulos had also requested criminal liability in relation to the facts, but the TCU denied, citing absence of competence of the Court of Auditors to issue a value judgment on the practice or not of crime.

Eduardo’s trip is also an inquiry into the minister’s rapporteur in the (Federal Supreme Court), about his alleged performance against Brazilian authorities abroad.

In a statement about the case, in early June, Bolsonaro said he sent about $ 2 million to Eduardo so that he could stay in the United States.

According to the former president, the money was discounted from the total donations of his presidential campaign in 2022, and he decided to make the remittance so that his son does not have difficulties in the US.

He also said “having no idea” how long Eduardo would still be in the US and that the 41 -year -old “has an independent political life.”
