In impeccable acting in the decision, Polish Iga Swiatek won the Wimbledon title on Saturday (12). The 24-year-old tennis player beat American Amanda Anysimova by 2 sets to 0, in amazing partials from 6/0 and 6/0.

This was only the second time in history that one ended the double result 6/0. The first and only other occasion was in the 1911 female decision, when British Dorothea Lambert Chambers surpassed compatriot Dora Boothby by the same score.

Already throughout the open era of women’s tennis (from 1968), the feat of Swiatk occurred only in another opportunity. In the 1988 Roland Garros final, German Stefanie Graf, owner of 22 Grand Slam titles, surpassed the Soviet Natalia Zvereva by 2 sets to 0, in partials from 6/0 and 6/0.

Iga Swiatek won Wimbledon for the first time in his career, reaching six Grand Slam titles. She is a four -time champion of Roland Garros (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and has a US Open cup, won in 2022. In addition, the Polish took it home (around $ 35 million at the current price).

Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and Italian Jannik Sinner will make the final key of the British tournament. The match will take place this Sunday (13), at 12h (Brasilia), in the central court of the competition, in London.
