The two have known each other for half a century and are friends for almost as long. Peter Huemer drives from Vienna to Innsbruck at regular intervals to visit his seriously ill friend Anton Pelinka. In a state that is referred to in technical jargon as “exhausted”, it was time for a big conversation that Huemer had for the standard with the outstanding political scientist Pelinka.
