The Leader of the Workers Party (PT) in the House, Deputy Lindbergh Farias, filed a lawsuit at the Supreme Court (STF) against the governor of São Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans), claiming possible obstruction of justice. The petition mentions a possible “institutional articulation to facilitate the dropout” of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), defendant for attempted coup.
According to the complaint, Tarcisio would have suggested that Bolsonaro travel to the United States to negotiate directly with President Donald Trump a possible reversal of the 50% tariff in import tax to Brazilian products. He mentions that the governor would have linked to STF ministers to intercede in favor of Bolsonaro.
“The gesture is serious: a state executive trying to release the departure of a defendant investigated for attempted coup, so that he meets the leader of international pressure against Brazil,” the petition mentions.

Governor denies
The information that Tarcisio called the STF ministers to propose that the Court authorizes Bolsonaro to travel to the United States and negotiate with Trump was revealed by the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo.
The action was filed yesterday. Federal Deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP), also this last Friday, filed a representation in the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) against the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans-SP), with the same arguments.
In response to CNN Brazil, the governor of São Paulo denied having sought STF ministers asking for permission for a possible departure from Bolsonaro (PL) to the United States to negotiate directly with Donald Trump.
