The units should continue to progress to the Dnepropetrov region. Russian troops used the Soviet name of the village.

Russia announced on Sunday that it had taken another village in the west of the Ukrainian Donetsk region, while Moscow troops are moving towards the neighboring Dnepropetrov region. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

The Moscow offensive in Ukraine has been going on for more than three years, and the attacks have intensified over the past time, and negotiations on a ceasefire under the leadership of the US have not yet stopped the fighting.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said the Russian troops conquered the village of Myrne, using its Soviet name “Karl Marx”. The village lies at the border of the Donetsk and Dnepropetrov region. The ministry claims that the units have advanced “deeper to the enemy’s defense zone” to take the village. Myrne is one of the two municipalities that Moscow managed to get on Sunday. The second village is mykolajivka.

AFP recalls that Russia has been rejecting an agreement on a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine for months, designed by Washington along with Kiev.
