The first lady of French Brigitte Macron filed an appeal against the annulment of judgments over two women who were accused of spreading false claims that she was once a man. Referring to Macron’s lawyer, AFP reported on Monday, TASR writes.

Disinformation of this kind about Macron has been circulating on social networks for years. She is also attacking her for a 24-year-old age difference between her and her husband, President Emmanuel Macron.

Controversial video

Macron filed an action for defamation against two women after published in December 2021 on the Youtube video platform, claiming that she was once a man named Jean-Michel. This is the name of Macron’s brother Jean-Michel Trogneux.

In an interview with Amanda Roy, who pretends to be a spiritual medium, with a self-proclaimed independent journalist Natachia Rey, four hours discussed “state-covered lies” and “fraud” that Brigitte Macron, born Trogneux, allegedly never existed.

The aforementioned Stream discussers shared photos of Brigitte Macron and her family, mentioning the surgical interventions she allegedly underwent, claimed that she was not the mother of their three children, and provided personal information about her brother.

These claims have become viral, even among conspiracy theorists in the United States.

The court’s decision

In September 2024, the court ordered both women to pay Brigitte Macron’s compensation of EUR 8,000 and her brother EUR 5,000. However, the Paris Court of Appeal liberated both women last Thursday and will not have to pay compensation. The court did not provide a further explanation.

Macron’s lawyer Jean Ennochi on Sunday for AFP said that the first lady and her brother and her lawsuit against the rejection of the accused were addressed to the Supreme Court of Appeal in France – the Casual Court.

In the past, the former First Lady of the USA Michelle Obama, US exVice President Kamala Harris and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, added to AFP.
