Senator Flávio Bolsonaro countered on Sunday (13) the statements of the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, who criticized the Bolsonaro family stance with the taxation by the United States of 50% on Brazilian products.
“Prefer to see Brazil being taxed in 200% of what to sit as an adult in the room,” the senator told CNN in response to Costa. According to the former president’s son, the Lula government ignores the severity of the problem.
“I am impressed by Rui Costa’s amateurism. He is more concerned with blaming someone than solving the serious situation Brazil is in part because of Lula’s catastrophic foreign policy,” he said.

Rui Costa compared the “kidnapper films” the support of the Bolsonaro family to the rates announced by President Donald Trump. “I saw his children’s videos. It looks like those kidnapped movie videos,” said the minister.
To CNN, Flávio Bolsonaro defended the amnesty’s approval – including for his father – at the National Congress as a way out to avoid the tariff.
“I hope to rely on the PT votes in Congress to approve, as soon as possible, the wide, general and unrestricted amnesty. This is the first step for the taxation of 50% not to come into force on August 1st. Whoever goes against amnesty, is against Brazil!”, He told the station.
