Two months later, in Madrid, the Brazilian won the first match of Masters 1000, against American Alex Michelsen (80th). Still in 2024, João Fonseca played his first Challenger final in Asuncion, defeated by compatriot Gustavo Heide, and closed the season with a golden key, the tournament that brings together the top eight under-20 in the world.
