The 18-year-old Brazilian Brazilian reached 48th in the ATP ranking, published on Monday (14), and first appeared in his career among the 50 best tennis players in the world. The list was released after the tournament dispute, which ended on Sunday with the title of Italian Jannik Sinner, number 1 in the world, about Spanish Carlos Alcaraz (n.2). João climbed six positions after the Grand Slam of London, in which he advanced to the third round, and added 1,116 points in the ranking. Djokovic, defeated by Sinner in the semifinal, follows as number 6. Another American, Ben Shelton, reached the best career place in ninth after advanced Wednesdays for the first time in Wimbledon.
