PT leader in the House of Representatives, Lindbergh Farias (RJ), asked the Supreme Court (STF) that former President Jair Bolsonaro and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) will be included in the Open Supreme Court against the investigation deputy in relation to the former president.

The inquiry, opened by decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes after the request of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), investigates whether Eduardo would have committed the crimes of coercion in the course of the process, obstruction of investigation of criminal organization and attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law.

The reason for the process is the performance of the former president’s son in the United States in recent months. Eduardo has been talking openly about his work to convince United States authorities to sanction Moraes and Brazil because of investigations against his father.

In the request, Lindbergh claims that “it is notorious that federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro is in the United States, acting with authorities and political agents to make support of sanctions against Brazil, presenting the Supreme Court as an enemy of freedom and promoting diplomatic invested against national interests.”

The petista cites an interview by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro to CNN Brazil and a publication by Jair Bolsonaro on social networks.

In the interview, Flávio said the “first step” for Brazil to get Donald Trump to approve a “broad and unrestricted” amnesty. Jair Bolsonaro, in turn, asked “the powers to act urgently by presenting measures to rescue institutional normality.” In the words of the former president, “it is still possible to save Brazil.”

“The actions of the political-family nucleus led by Jair Bolsonaro show the attempt to transform Brazil into a satellite of an international far-right project, compromising the autonomy of the Brazilian state and the regular functioning of democratic institutions,” Lindbergh said in the request submitted to the STF.

The case is reported by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, whom he will decide whether Flávio and Jair Bolsonaro will indeed be included in the investigation to investigate suspicion of attempted obstruction of justice.
