The Rumble Video Platform fired Florida’s court on Sunday (13) against the new decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the Supreme Court (STF), who ordered the blockade of an account linked to commentator Rodrigo Constantino and the delivery of user data. The information is from S.Paulo Folha.
The judicial measure of Moraes, sent to Rumble on Friday (11), also imposes a daily fine of $ 100,000 in case of non-compliance. Truth Social, a social network associated with former President Donald Trump, also signs the petition sent to the US court.
Companies claim that the decision was communicated only by email, which they consider an irregular procedure. In the document, they state that the Brazilian Order hurts laws from the United States, as Constantine is an American citizen, and says the account cited has been inactive since December 2023. In addition, they remember that Rumble has been blocked in Brazil since February this year for non -compliance with another STF decision.
“Rumble does not intend to comply with the defendant’s requirements because they are invalid and unenforceable,” the companies say in the petition.
The platforms point out that the new order of the Supreme Court was issued two days after Trump sent a letter to President Lula da Silva expressing concern for Brazilian performance in relation to US technology companies. For lawyers, the block would be a political pretext.
The networks also point out that the request was not submitted to the legal procedures required by international treaties. “The order was not delivered through any legal treaty mechanism and seems to have been issued without notification to the US government,” they maintain.

Rumble and Truth Social have contested Moraes’ orders in Florida’s court since February. In May, they asked the minister to be liable civilly, with compensation for alleged damages caused by the decisions, which they call “gag orders”.
The case is part of the fake news inquiry, which investigates the disinformation spread. Constantino had a passport canceled in 2023 and, since 2024, has American citizenship.
