Scented washing machine and dishwasher are the dream of those who love the house always tidy and fresh. A simple, natural and cheap makeup is enough to add to the washing cycles to make a difference.
It often happens to open the washing machine door and perceive an unpleasant, almost wet smell. Or even worse, to find the apparently clean dishes but with an unpleasant aftertaste just left the dishwasher. And the surprising thing is that it happens even if these appliances are often used. Indeed, paradoxically, daily use risks making them more vulnerable to certain problems. Accumulating humidity, detergent and food residues end up creating a perfect environment for molds and stagnant smells. The details are often underestimated. But just there they nest and bacteria. The gaskets of the washing machine, for example, tend to accumulate residues of detergent and mold. Just pass them with a cloth soaked in vinegar and baking soda, once every two weeks, to avoid problems.
And i filters? Fundamental. If they are obstructed, bad smells are amplified. It should be checked at least once a month, both in the washing machine and in the dishwasher. Just unleash them, rinse them under running water and, if needed, leave a little vinegar to melt the fat.
