A bakery network declared bankruptcy and announced the closing of 21 units. The announcement surprised faithful customers, who for years valued natural fermentation breads made with organic ingredients and locally cultivated grains.

Known for its commitment to quality bakery and sustainability, Noble Bread was founded in 2013 and in those more than 10 years had gained space among the most respected craft bakeries in the United States.

However, the company’s backstage indicates that the problems were not in the oven, but in the administration.

According to local press, the bankruptcy request made in May this year was a strategic measure after identifying a series of irregularities in financial management, attributed to a former company contradiction. In addition, operating costs would have become unsustainable.

The debts accumulated by Noble Bread, according to official bankruptcy documents, rotate between $ 1 million and $ 10 million.
