Many gardeners waste tomato leaves, which is a pity. They are a source of many nutrients, so you can make them a slurryafter which the plants will start to grow like crazy and no pest will be scared of them. Check the recipe for a natural fertilizer in the spirit of Zero Waste.
As already mentioned, It is worth using a manure of tomato leaves because it contains large amounts of nutrients, i.e. potassium, nitrogen and vitamins: C and E. In this form they are easily absorbed, which is why they quickly nourish crops in a natural way.
Therefore, powered plants grow faster and spend large, good quality crops. Thanks to the spraying of this solution, they are protected against pests, i.e. aphids, flour, spider mites.

We only choose healthy tomato leaves for manure, without any disease symptoms. After breaking, chop them finely. Thanks to this, we will accelerate their fermentation, and thus – the release of nutrients.
In the next step, we throw the green parts into a bucket – it’s best to fill half of it. Then pour them with rain or water at room temperature, until completely covered.
Then cover the container with gauze – it must have access to the air. We leave such a solution for 10-14 days (depending on the ambient temperature – the warmer, the faster the fertilizer will be ready). We mix it every day to prevent rotting and accelerate fermentation.
A characteristic smell will appear after a few days. It will be a sign of proper fermenting tomato leaves.
The manure of tomato leaves can be used after 2 weeks, but before use we must dilute it with water. Otherwise, it will not help, and will harm the roots of plants.
Therefore, we mix it with water in a ratio of 1:10 (1 l fertilizer per 10 l of water). We can water the plants in a vegetable garden, i.e. cabbage, pumpkin.
It is also worth using it in the form of spraying against these pests. Then we dilute the fertilizer even more – the ratio 1:15.
Remember that Do not use the manure of tomato leaves too often. Two fertilizations in the season are enough. It is not recommended to use before the harvest. Then it could negatively affect the taste of crops.
