Film won a prize at the Berlin Festival and was screened for guests at the Alvorada Palace; Find out who was in the session
The president (PT) received this Monday (14.Jul.2025) the director of the movie “The Last Blue”, Gabriel Mascaro, actresses Denise Weinberg, Rosa Malagueta and actor Adanilo, in the palace of Dawn. The petista showed the feature film at the cinema of the presidential’s official residence, in a session that was scheduled for 19h.
With distribution of showcase films, the feature film will be released in Brazilian theaters on August 28, 2025. One of the protagonists of the film, Rodrigo Santoro could not go to the event in Alvorada for being in Sao Paulo recording a new project.

The film was awarded at the Berlin Film Festival: received the Silver Bear. Brazilian production was also recognized by the ecumenical jury as the best of the competition and received the newspaper’s award Berliner Morgenpost.
The film is the result of a co -production between Brazil, Mexico, Chile and the Netherlands. The work chronicles the 77 -year -old Tereza’s journey (Denise Weinberg), which in the face of a government order to move to an elderly colony, decides to explore the rivers of the Amazon in search of fulfilling one last wish.
