Motorcyclist Janaína de Souza Barbosa, 25, was injured after colliding with an irregular parked pickup truck, on Monday afternoon (14), in Via Chico Mendes, in the Areal neighborhood, region of the second district of Rio Branco.
According to witnesses, Janaína was driving on a black Honda Biz motorcycle in the neighborhood-center direction, when she had her vision overshadowed by the reflection of the sun. Without proper visibility, she eventually collided in the back of a red Ford Ranger truck, which was standing with two wheels on the sidewalk.

With the impact, the young woman was thrown to the ground and was unconscious on the running track. Popular triggered the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which sent an advanced support ambulance to the site. After receiving the first calls and being stabilized, Janaína was sent to the Rio Branco Emergency Room. Its state of health was considered stable.

A revolting detail occurred during help: the victim’s cell phone was stolen by an unidentified person while she was unconscious on the floor.
The motorcycle was removed from the road and placed on the truck body. The victim’s father and the driver of the vehicle involved signed an agreement on the spot.

The occurrence will be determined by the competent authorities, and the theft of the mobile phone must be investigated as an opportunistic crime during emergency care.
