Boavista Futebol Clube is at the center of an investigation on suspicion of economic crimes. The Porto Judicial Police searched the club’s premises and, as shown by CMTV, inspectors were even forced to break into the door of the stadium’s main building.
The operation takes place in the context of suspicions of corruption, harmful management and other economic crimes, which will have contributed to the club’s serious financial situation.
It is recalled that Boavista recently failed to register in professional competitions for the 2025/26 time, and was also denied licensing to compete in League 3 by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). At this time, the club faces the risk of being relegated to the district divisions.
