SHMI warns of tidal downpour and gusty wind: storms can hit several districts

Storms may occur in the east and parts of central Slovakia on Tuesday. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) therefore issued a first level warning. Informs about it on his website.

The warning is valid from 12.00 to 20.00 for the whole Košice and Prešov regions, districts Brezno, Poltár, Lučenec, Revúca, Rimavská Sobota, Liptovský Mikuláš, Námestovo and Tvrdošín. “There is a little probability of storms associated with a sharp downpour with an intensity of 20 to 30 millimeters in 30 minutes, with wind impacts 65 to 85 kilometers per hour and with hail,” The meteorologists approached.
