To the new part of the podcast on the web Off Record with musician Teri Čikoš accepted the invitation Lukáš Kunst, Slovak conductor and choirmaster, artistic director of the women’s choir Les Sirènes and choirmaster of the Choir of Bratislava. He studied opera singing and conducting, he worked in the choirs of the CANTILINA and the Chamber Opera Bratislava. Since 2025, the children’s opera studio has also been led by the SND Opera. His choirs have won several international awards and is one of the prominent personalities of the Slovak choir scene.
His first touch with art came in childhood. Not only does he have an artistic surname Kunst, but he was literally brought to culture in a stroller when his grandmother had catering at the National Theater Brno and His guarding took place behind the scenes of the theater. It started with a ballet and then an opera. Over time, he started to study singing, but the offer came to cooperate from choirmaster and gradually tended more to conduct.
