“We want to solve the problem as soon as possible, if there is more time, we will work in this regard,” said Alckmin.

The meeting with the industry was the first of the Interministerial Committee created to formulate the Brazilian response to the US tariff imposed by the US on the importation of Brazilian products.

From the committee, the Planalto Palace wants to align the discourse between the public and private sectors to define the best negotiation strategy. The government wants to hear the private sector before formalizing decisions.

The committee will be commanded by the ministry led by Alckmin, with the support of Fazenda, Civil House, Itamaraty and Institutional Relations.
