The Ukrainian President said on Monday (14) that he talked to the president of, after new weapons to the support.
“It was a very good conversation. I thanked him for his willingness to support Ukraine and continue working together to prevent the murders and establish a fair and lasting peace,” Zelensky wrote in the Telegram messaging app.
Zelensky said he and Trump agreed to talk more often and “continue to coordinate our steps.”

He also said he had a very good conversation with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, who with Trump at the White House on Monday.
Trump told reporters that he was with Russian President Vladimir Putin and that billions of US weapons would go to Ukraine.
He also threatened to impose sanctions on Russian product buyers, unless Russia agree with a peace agreement, expressing frustration with repeated attacks on Ukrainian cities. But the threat of sanctions came with a grace period of 50 days.

Zelensky had previously met with the US special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, in the capital Kiev, where they discussed the reinforcement of Ukrainian air defenses and the purchase of weapons with European help.
Trump said on Sunday (13) that he would send Patriot Air Defense missiles to Ukraine.
“We discuss the way to peace and what we can do together in practice to bring it closer. This includes strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, joint production and the acquisition of defense weapons in collaboration with Europe,” wrote Zelenskiy in X.

“And of course, sanctions against Russia and those who help it.”
Trump, who began his second term with a more conciliatory approach with Russia, signaled his disenchantment with Putin in recent weeks, as Moscow intensified air strikes against Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
An air strike alert was declared in Kiev shortly after the meeting between Kellogg and Zelensky on Monday.
