Among the many objects put to auction to empty a house that belonged to a deceased person, Livia Bucik was attracted to a seemingly simple framework, but full of family images of dogs and cats. But only when he returned home discovered the hidden secret on the reverse.
By turning the frame, as published by the media Burik found something unexpected: small labels recorded with the names of the animals and, below, a handwritten note with the dates of their disappearance.
“He gave me chills,” said the woman. “My two cats are also my family. Knowing that someone wanted to honor the memory of their pets in this way, some of which died in the 80s, was deeply moving,” he added.
Although he did not know the family to which they belonged or met them in person, he decided to hang that frame next to the photos of his cats, Moon and Tofu.
The woman shared the story in her Tiktok account (@artc0re), in which she received thousands of messages from those who moved with her gesture. “Thank you for saving them from oblivion,” one wrote. “Now we remember them,” said another.
