A euro zone presented trade surplus 16.2 billion euros in May, according to data with seasonal adjustments published on Wednesday (16) by Eurostat, as the EU (European Union) statistics agency is known.
In April, the block had registered a minor positive balance of 15.1 billion euros, according to the number revised.
In the monthly comparison, block exports fell 0.5% in May and imports fell 1%, also considering seasonal adjustments.
In the outcome without adjustments, the euro -zone commercial surplus was also 16.2 billion euros in May, larger than the 12.7 billion euros surplus, observed in the same month last year, Eurostat said.
