Current long -term EU budget is 1.21 billion euros involving national contributions of 1.1% – below 1.26% proposed

The European Commission has proposed a long -term European Union (EU) budget until 2034 of two billion euros, above the 1.2 billion of the current framework, which includes more national contributions and new taxes.

“The next QFP [Quadro Financeiro Plurianual] It will be an ambitious EU budget with a total dimension of two billion euros, ”announced European Budget Commissioner Piotr Serafin, speaking of a hearing in the European Parliament before the official presentation of the press proposal in Brussels.

After several hours of negotiations between the European commissioners, the first proposal package on the next QFP 2028-2034 was presented, with a total envelope of two euros of euros in authorizations (at current prices), based on national contributions (based on national gross performance) of 1.26%.

The current long -term EU budget is 1.21 billion of euros (which includes about 800 billion euros at current prices of the recovery and resilience mechanism, which finances the PRR), involving national contributions of 1.1%.
