Fire reaches Tomorrowland’s main stage in Belgium

A fire hit the main stage of the festival this Wednesday (16.Jul.2025), in Boom, Belgium. The fire began during the final assembly work of the structure 2 days from the official opening of the event.

The causes of the fire are unknown and are being investigated by local authorities. For safety, residents of the region were told to stay at home with closed doors and windows to prevent smoke from entering.

This year’s edition of Tomorrowland was scheduled to be held on 2 weekends: July 18-20 and from 25 to 27 of the same month. The expectation was to receive up to 400,000 people from over 200 countries.

The event organizers said in a note published in what the festival will not be canceled. They also stated that there were no victims.

Among the attractions scheduled for the event are David Guetta and Charlotte de Witte, who would perform on the main stage. The organization said it is “focused on finding solutions.”
