In Portugal there is an amusement park that reminds Disneyland and entry is free for some

There is in Portugal an amusement park that has several pools and fun zones that attract visitors of all ages. This space combines diverse attractions, creating a ‘magical’ environment for a different day.

A destination of adventure and fantasy in the north of the country

This park, known as Magikland, is located in the north of Portugal, in the municipality of Penafiel, in an easily accessible area from Porto and surroundings. With an area of about seven hectares, the space offers a wide range of attractions distributed to different thematic environments.

According to Turismo de Portugal, the park organizes its amusements in six distinct areas, each with scenarios and activities that carry visitors to various universes, from African adventures to medieval villages.

Thematic areas that delight kids and big

In the area called Africa, the smallest can drive small cars inspired by Dakar tests, have fun on carousel planes and try shock carts. Already in the world of confusion, there are trains, flying elephants and carousels with goblins that animate the space.

The medieval village stands out for the presence of the ferris wheel, which offers a panoramic view of the amusement park, and the ghost castle, creating an environment of mystery and history for visitors to explore. These areas are designed to stimulate imagination and provide unforgettable moments.

At Far-West, the aquatic carousel promises to refresh and have fun, while the roller coaster offers emotion to those looking for the most adrenaline. The pirate’s refuge, with a large boat surrounded by lagoons, is another point of interest, providing spaces for rest and leisure.

Aquatic fun for the hottest days

The park also has several pools and slides that guarantee freshness and entertainment during the hottest months. The artificial lagoon, the Lake of Galeão and Magikpool are examples of these aquatic spaces that combine fun and rest.

In 2023, two slippery were added, one for children and one of 80 meters for bolder visitors.

This bet on aquatic areas reinforces the role of the park as an ideal destination for families seeking to combine adrenaline with relaxing moments with the water. The information was confirmed by Turismo de Portugal.

Infrastructures and conditions for a complete day

To complement the offer, the park has several bars and a self-service restaurant, allowing visitors to feed without leaving the premises. These spaces guarantee quick meals and snacks during the visit, making it possible to spend all day in the park.

The operation of the park is concentrated between April and September, with daily opening in summer and conditioned access at other times. Tickets cost 13 euros for children between 4 and 12 years old and 21 euros for adults up to 64. Admission is free for children up to 3 years old, seniors from 65 and people with recognized disabilities.

To avoid queues, the park recommends the early purchase of online tickets, facilitating the organization of the visit and managing the number of people in the enclosure. These measures allow the experience to be comfortable and pleasant to everyone, according to the.
