At least 40 dead in Gaza after the last Israeli bombing and a stampede at a point of help
At least 40 Gazatis have died since the early hours of Wednesday in the Israeli bombings against the Gaza Strip and after a stamped in a humanitarian aid distribution center, according to medical sources in the enclave.
At least 20 people died and several more were wounded by suffocation during a stampede in the vicinity of a center managed by the Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza (FHG), north of the city of Rafah, in the south of the enclave, according to these sources.
Before, the FHG, backed by Israel and the United States and criticized by the UN and humanitarian organizations for the repeated episodes of violence at its food distribution points, described the event as an “incident” caused by people “armed and affiliated with Hamas” within the crowd, and said that 19 people died trampled and a stabbed.
In addition, four people (including a six -year -old boy and a one -year -old baby) died in Israeli attacks against the Mawasi displaced camp, near Jan Yunis, also in the south of the strip, according to medical sources. Six other gazaties died in the center of the enclave after registering bombings on a tent, a residential building and coffee near the beach of Al Zuweida. In the north, in Ciudad de Gaza, three people, including a baby, died in an attack against the Hattab family, while two others died from wounds suffered in previous bombardments. There were also several deaths in Israeli attacks against different points of the center and the north of the enclave.
The Israeli army did not rule on these specific cases, but reported on Wednesday in a military statement that during the last day he attacked “more than 120 terrorist objectives”, including “terrorist cells, military structures, weapons and underground infrastructure facilities” in Gaza. (EFE)
