Man invades straight from the goal on the tour during a dispute for victory and is planned for safety

The stage of the return to France this Wednesday was marked by several unexpected moments. In addition to the fall of Tadej Pogacar a few kilometers from the goal, another incident caught the eye in the final meters.

During the dispute for the victory between Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno-X) and Mauro Schmid (Jayco), a man broke into the line of the goal and ran toward cyclists. The rapid intervention of one of the security avoided more serious consequences by being able to wage the invader with an effective plate.

The episode occurred even at the decisive moment of the stage, but did not affect the outcome of the race, which ended with Abrahamsen’s victory. The organization reinforced safety on site and the man was arrested.
