Next Friday (18), Cruzeiro do Sul will receive the face-to-face launch of the most recent work of the educator, artist and writer Aldemir Maciel, who shares, in a book, remarkable moments of his trajectory dedicated to Cruzeiro culture. The ceremony will be held at the NAUAS Theater and marks a new phase of disclosure of the title, already released virtually in hundreds of platforms throughout Brazil, including Amazon, Magalu and the website of Publisher Apris.
“This brand in the South Cruise culture, which I dedicated all my life and that I dedicate to this day, is what this book tells. In 2013 this story has gained shape, and now, more than ever, I want it to reach people,” says Aldemir.

The book, which is available in physical and digital versions, brings personal and collective memories, rescuing landmarks from local culture and the author’s own overcoming. “Everything is possible. It is possible to be reborn, it is possible to overcome and it is possible to have wonderful victories. This is the main message I want to convey,” says excitement.
Among the great narrated deeds, Aldemir recalls the beginning of his musical career with the release of the CD was crazy in 2001, and the emergence of the Amazon Rhythms project, which would change his life and hundreds of young people in the city. In 2013, the project took him to Brasilia, where he was nationally recognized with the title of best teacher in Brazil, an unprecedented feat for Cruzeiro do Sul.
“The project was born at the Flodo Arta Cabral School, which I consider the cradle of Cruzeiro culture. It was 15 years intense, with hundreds of students experiencing art, music and Amazonian identity.”

The work also reinforces the lasting impact of his work as an educator. Aldemir proudly shares the moment when a former student, today teacher, used his image and history in a class about Cruzeiro culture. “I always said that we can like the culture all over Brazil, but we should value ours. Here we have amazing talents.”
In addition to Cruzeiro do Sul, the author intends to launch the book in person in other municipalities of Acre, bringing its history and the richness of regional culture to more people.
The community is invited to participate in the event and celebrate with Aldemir Maciel this milestone in the cultural history of the Juruá Valley.
