The will not work in Vila Belmiro in the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship. It confirmed, on Tuesday (15), the change of place of the match against the youth, originally marked to the Santista stadium. Now the confrontation will be held at Morumbi, house of. The date follows, for now, maintained for August 4, a Monday, at 20h. The alvinegro club, however, tries to anticipate the commitment for Saturday, the 2nd.
The change is part of a collaboration agreement between the two São Paulo clubs, which signed a memorandum of understanding providing for the mutual use of their stadiums throughout the season. By the document, each team can send up to three games at the other’s house, which offers a logistics and strategic alternative for both sides, especially in times of need.
Santos, for example, sees Morumbi as a viable solution for matches with greater public and income demand, or in situations where Vila Belmiro is unavailable or does not meet operational needs. On the other hand, São Paulo will also be able to work in Baixada Santista, taking advantage of the regional appeal and opening new fronts of approach with fans outside the capital.
The expectation of the club alvinegro was that the duel against, on Wednesday (16), already inaugurated the agreement with Morumbi. However, logistics issues made the operation unfeasible. The one will also be on the field in the state capital the same night, against Mirassol in Allianz Parque, which would compromise the safety of the event.
Before the game against Youth, Santos will act once again in Vila, besides the match with Flamengo. For the 16th, it will face the International. The alvinegro team is 16th place, with 11 points, very close to the relegation zone.
