Dumplings host not only on the Christmas Eve table. Many people are eager to reach for them in the summer when different fruits reign in the kitchen. We almost always do them in excess, and only later we think about storing them. We suggest how to properly store fruit dumplings and How many days after preparation we should eat these snacks.
Dumplings made in excess will be more fit for consumption, if we put them in the fridge immediately after cooling. This applies to those with fruit, but also with cheese, meat, cabbage and mushrooms or Russian.
After cooking, put the dumplings on a plate so that they do not get rid of, and then after cooling, place them in a tightly closed container or string bag. Let’s pay attention to whether the packaging is clean and dry. Otherwise, mold will develop.
The temperature for storing these snacks in the fridge should be from 0 to 4 degrees Celsius. We do not put them where it can be variable, i.e. on the door door. It’s best to store them at the bottom of the equipment.
Then the most important question arises: How many days to store ? Well, they may lie properly packed in the fridge for 2 days. After this time, there is a high risk of corruption. If we eat such snacks, we can get stomach problems. That is why, with large quantities, it is best to freeze them.
Before freezing, we recommend cooling fruit dumplings. Thanks to this, they will not stick together. It’s best to put them in the fridge for an hour.
After this time, we put these snacks on a baking tray so that they do not touch each other. We place them in the freezer for a few hours to completely freeze.
After a few hours, put dumplings into a tightly closed container or plastic string bag. It is worth writing a date on the packaging, which will help you control freshness and planning.
So how long can you store frozen fruit dumplings? We keep them in the freezer for a maximum of 3 months. Only after this time they will lose their freshness.
