The minimum wage in Serbia will increase to EUR 500

Since October, the minimum wage in Serbia will increase to more than EUR 500. This is the result of social dialogue between labor and government representatives.

The minimum wage in Serbia will be increased to EUR 500 from 1 October this year. At the 124th session of the Social-Economic Committee (SES), they have taken a unanimous decision on an extraordinary wage increase. More precisely, the minimum wage in Serbia will increase by 9.4 % since October and exceed EUR 500.

SES chairwoman and Minister of Labor Milica đurđević said that the decision on an extraordinary increase was taken unanimously and is the result of a social dialogue in Serbia.

There has also been a proposal for the dynamics of the minimum wage growth, which assumes an increase in two phases – since October this year and since January 2026 (which will be decided in August).

At present, the minimum wage is 53,592 dinars, which is approximately EUR 457, after it was increased by 13.7 %in January this year. The aim is to keep by the end of 2027, respectively. Since 2028, the minimum wage reached EUR 651.
