Traffickers steal bus and use it as a barrier in Rio de Janeiro

An bus was kidnapped last Monday by a group of traffickers in Rio de Janeiro, being later used as a barrier. The images of the occurrence, recorded by residents and released on social networks, show the tension environment lived in Costa Barros, in the northern part of the city.

The incident occurred during an operation of the Military Police in the Pedreira Complex, with the objective of combating the theft of cargo and vehicles, as well as locking the circulation of criminals involved in territorial disputes.

The bus was placed to block one of the streets of the area. According to local press reports, the action resulted in the detention of 13 suspects.
