Four people died on a Sunday plane crash near London, the Southend International Airport is closed until further notice.
The victims of the Sunday crash of a small aircraft, which, shortly after taking off from the Southend International Airport near London, collapsed, are, according to police, two pilots, a nurse and a doctor. The aircraft had previously brought a patient to the United Kingdom to undergo treatment in the country. Subsequently, it crashed back to the Netherlands. TASR writes about it based on Sky News.
According to the media, one of the victims was a 31-year-old nurse María Fernanda Rojas Ortiz, a German citizen from Chile, and another 46-year-old doctor Matthias El from Germany. Both pilots were reportedly Dutch.
Essex police confirmed on Tuesday that it had secured the bodies of three victims and “is working to win the fourth over the next 24 hours”. She also confirmed that she cooperates with the Office for Investigation of Air accidents (AAIB) AS Coroner. At the same time, the police called on people who witnessed accident or have any records to contact it. “The work of the crime scene will continue today and further during the week,” said police chief Morgan Cronin on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Southend Airport announced on Tuesday that the airport will remain closed until further notice.
