More than six years after, which he received even on a road that separates Villanueva de la Torre (Guadalajara), the Civil Guard has opened a new line of investigation that rules out the one who, and points to several authors. After years of investigations and two provisional files of the cause, the crime remains unsolved. Now, the Command of the Civil Guard of Madrid has collected information that has allowed it to open a new line of investigation with indications that, for the moment, have not been revealed.
Sergio SM’s lawyer explained that, procedurally, he has not received any notification, nor does he know anything new about the procedure. Vallejo was killed on January 16, 2019 in a field zone near Villanueva de la Torre, where Sergio SM’s girlfriend resided Sergio, who always defended his innocence, was investigated when remains of his DNA appeared in Miriam’s clothes. The recreation has left Miriam’s house, on Sierra Ayllón street, to get to the place where a couple found the young woman, agonizing but even alive despite the wounds. A civil guard has passed Miriam and has made the tour with four dogs. Martín has stressed that Miriam’s family is aware of reconstruction and has addressed her to tell them to trust the Civil Guard. “We are not going to leave it and we will not forget it,” he promised.
Although in January 2023 the head of the Court of Instruction number 5 of Alcalá de Henares returned to provisionally filed the investigation into the crime by considering that “the indications of absence of guilt are stronger than of possible authorship”, left open the possibility of reopening the proceedings if new indications were offered.
In the instruction, the judge asked the coroner of the case to expand the autopsy report to determine if several people could intervene in the crime, a thesis that defended the defense of the only investigated.
