The federal government began, between June 26 and July 14 this year, 105 new works of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida (MCMV) program across the country, aimed at track 1, which serves low -income families. In total, 8,342 housing units are being built, with expected to benefit about 33,000 people.

In Acre, the works began with the residential my dignity Santo Afonso II, located in Rio Branco. The venture provides for the construction of 83 housing units in the MCMV Urbano modality.
The Northern Region also has new projects in states such as Pará and Roraima. In Marabá (PA), the works of 248 houses of Residencial Parque I began in Castanhal, three housing estates began to be erected: Novo Cruzeiro I (168 units), Novo Cruzeiro II (168) and Novo Cruzeiro III (164). In Boa Vista (RR), the residential satellite city will have 160 houses.
Constructions are part of the Federal Government’s effort to expand access to decent housing. Of the 105 works in progress, 46 are from the urban modality, 57 of Rural and two of the entities modality. The program is present in the five regions of the country, with projects started in Bahia, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Santa Catarina, among other states.
Only in the state of Acre, the program has delivered 2,331 since the return of the program Minha Casa Minha Vida, in the current term of President Lula.
