Exchange of attacks between Ukraine and Russia with drones causes victims in both countries

Mutual attack resulted in two deaths on both sides of the border. Ukraine described Russian attack as “terrorism” and “a simple attempt to kill as many people as possible.”

An exchange of attacks with non-manned aircraft (‘drones’) between Ukraine and Russia caused at least two dead and nine injuries on both sides of the border, authorities from both countries advanced Thursday.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said on Thursday, on the Telegram Message Platform, intercepted 126 drones on the Russian territory, accounting for the death of a civilian and four injured in the attacks.

The Russian anti -aircraft forces intercepted and destroyed 122 drones at night and four more in the morning, most of them in the Southwest regions, on the Ukraine border, but also three in the Moscow region.

A woman died and a man – a civilian – was injured due to an attack by a Ukrainian drone in Belgorod, the region’s governor said Vyacheslav Gladkov, also on Telegram.

On the same platform, Alexander Gasev, governor of the Southwest Voronezh region, said that Three teenagers were injured at night, for fragments of a drumped drone on a building.

On the Ukraine side, authorities said Russia has launched a total of 64 ‘drones’ against the entire country, including Shahed (Iranian manufacturing) attacks and replicas, which the Russians use to confuse enemy defenses.

Of the nearly 60 ‘drones’ launched by Russia, Ukrainian defenses neutralized 36 over the center and eastern Ukraine, including 22 over the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Regional Governor Sergei Lisak, said the “massive attack” contra dnipropetrovsk and capital regional, dnipro, killed one person and injured five others, still causing a fire in an industrial installation.

Ukraine had promised to intensify the attacks on Russian territory in response to the increase in Russian attacks in recent weeks, which have killed dozens of civilians.

The Russian offensive against Ukraine lasts over three years ago and the attacks intensified this summer. To the negotiations conducted by the United States so far have not been able to end the fighting.

Moscow has refused for several months the ceasefire proposed by Washington and Kiev.
