Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira said on Thursday to be sure that President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will talk to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, if there is a circumstance, arguing that the two leaders have not yet met for lack of opportunity.
In an interview with CNN Brazil, Vieira stated that negotiations on the announced 50% tariff about Brazilian products by the US should be done exclusively by the federal government.
He also said that Brazil awaits response from the US government on negotiation proposal made in May.
