The Civil Police arrested on Wednesday (16) Ademilson Ferreira dos Santos, stepfather of Lucas da Silva, 19, hospitalized in serious condition after eating a cassava cake in São Bernardo do Campo, Greater São Paulo. For police, he is the main suspect of having poisoned the young man.

Delegate Liliane Doretto, responsible for the case, told the press today that she will request the 15 -day preventive arrest of Ademilson Ferreira.
On Tuesday (15), the delegate said she had access to an exchange of messages in which the man confesses that he thought of killing his stepson.
“In fact, an evangelical pastor, who was from the church that Luke attended, he came to the police station with a message that Ademilson himself wrote that he could no longer stand that unruly conduct of Lucas, by the way, because he no longer wanted to live in the house. of the boy that he would keep him from taking a course that was not the one he determined. ”
The testimonies of Lucas’s mother and brothers also revealed a history of sexual abuse committed by Ademilson against the stepchildren.
In addition, the investigation identified several inconsistencies in the suspect’s testimonials, which initially tried to blame the sister for the crime.
It was she who produced cassava dumplings served to the family over the weekend. The suspicion is that the stepfather has poisoned the food before offering the young man.
Lucas da Silva was ill next then and was admitted to the São Bernardo Emergency Hospital. According to the latest medical report, the patient is stable and sedation has been turned off to evaluate possible neurological sequelae.
Lucas’s sister of his father, Denise Santos, said she spent 15 years without seeing the boy, because the stepfather pushed him and the brothers from the rest of the family. She only rediscovered him earlier this week, already unconscious on the ICU bed.
“I said how much I loved him, how much I looked for him, but I didn’t find him. I only found him in this situation and it’s very difficult. I lived a short time with him, but it was like my children, you know? I took care of them little. But they just took him and left, they didn’t give no contact there.
Toxicological examination to determine which substance was used to poison Lucas has not yet been completed by the medical-legal institute, but the police consider that the investigation is virtually closed.
