The Syrian head of state Ahmed al-Sharaa has accused Israel of wanting to “split” his country and praised the country’s drusian minority on Thursday. Israel tries to move his country into a war, Sharaa said in a speech to his compatriots. “We will not give you the opportunity to get involved in a war that only serves to sow our homeland and sow our homeland,” said the former leader of the Islamist group HTS, an Al Qaeda offshoot.
