On the afternoon of Wednesday (16), the Acre Civil Police (PCAC) seized a teenager in Cruzeiro do Sul after allegations of aggressive behavior and involvement with narcotics. The young man was referred to the Socio -Educational Institute (ISE), where he will be hospitalized for judicial determination.

According to his grandmother’s report, who is the legal guardian of the minor, the first signs of aggressiveness emerged when he was only 12 years old. The elderly woman also said that the drug -user had already undergone two hospitalizations in ISE one of 30 days and another 90, but even after the imprisonment periods, she again committed offenses.
She explained that the teenager abandoned the school and started to steal objects from his own house to change them for drugs. Given the worsening of the picture in recent months, the grandmother sought help from support institutions, such as the Guardianship Council and the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (Creas).
The Civil Police already had previous records involving the minor, which reinforced the need for the new measure. Based on the recurrence and severity of the situation, the court determined the hospitalization, fulfilled by agents of the Specialized Police Station for Women’s Assistance (DEAM).
Delegate Vinícios Almeida, who coordinated the action, highlighted the importance of integrated performance between the protection and safety agencies. He stressed that the Civil Police have seriously dealt with cases of domestic violence, including when offenders are adolescents.
“Cases like this require firmness from the state. It is essential to protect victims and, at the same time, to offer the young man the chance of rehabilitation. Our role is to ensure compliance with court decisions and community security,” the delegate said.
