Ukrainian Prime Minister Svyrydenková introduced a new cabinet, which undertook to increase the share of domestic military production within six months.
The Ukrainian Parliament withdrew the ministerial nominations of Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenková on Thursday. The defense department will lead after the new Prime Minister Denys Šmyhaľ, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will remain Andriy Sybiha. Parliament voted on all ministerial nominations at the same time, with the exception of the post of Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs. They are nominated by the President for their office according to Ukrainian law and requires a separate vote.
New government approved
Most of the names of the new Cabinet Prime Minister Syrydenková were supported by 253 deputies of the 450-member Supreme Council. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Territorial Development Olexiy Kuleba, Minister of Interior Ihr Klymenko, Minister of Health Viktor Laško, Minister of Finance Serhij Marchenko and Minister of Education Oxen Lisovyj remained in their positions from the previous government.
After the new one, however, will lead the energy sector Svitlana Hrynčuková, the Ministry of Economy Olexij Sobolev and the Justice Department Herman Haluščenko. The first Deputy Prime Minister of the Ukrainian government and the Minister for Digital Transformation became Fedor Mychajlo and Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro -Atlantic Integration Taras Kačka.
Calls for a new government
“This team is verified by time. There are new tasks, challenges and high responsibility,” Smyhaľ said on Thursday. In his speech in Parliament, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj said that he expects the new government within six months to increase the share of home -made weapons on the Ukrainian front from 40 to 50 percent.
The confirmation of the ministerial nominations follows after the Ukrainian Parliament confirmed on Thursday a new government of the prime minister Julia Svyrydenková. She replaced the skid in the prime minister’s chair, which he submitted to Parliament on Tuesday.
