The registration period For the selection process of this semester of FIES (Student Financing Fund) ends this Friday (18), at 23:59 (Brasília time).
Interested parties should apply exclusively over the internet, in the MEC Unique Access Portal. There is no cost. In this edition 74,500 vacancies are available in, and 50% of them are available to the social FIES. According to the MEC (Ministry of Education), vacancies are distributed on 18,419 courses/shifts of 1,215 participating institutions.
With the Student Financing Fund Students can finance the monthly fee of face -to -face undergraduate courses at private universities. The amount to be financed is determined based on the student’s gross monthly family income.
Candidates in obtaining student financing must meet the following requirements:
- Have participated in (National High School Exam), from the 2010 edition;
- In the five ENEM tests, have gained arithmetic average of the grades equal to or greater than 450 points and not zeroing the writing test;
- Have monthly family gross income per person of up to three minimum wages (R $ 4,554).
Fies Social
According to edict There is a reservation of 50% of the vacancies for the Social FIES, released in 2024. To apply, candidates must have active registration in CadÚnico (Single Registration for Social Programs of the Federal Government) and family income per person of up to half a minimum wage (R $ 759).
The modality allows financing of up to 100% of educational charges, charged by the higher education institution, as well as reserve quotas for blacks, brown, indigenous, quilombolas and people with disabilities.
Classification
The classification in the FIES selection process will be carried out according to the decreasing order of the grades obtained by the candidates in ENEM, by type of vacancy, preference group and modality of competition. The order of priorities considers the candidates who:
- They did not complete higher education and were not benefited by student funding;
- They benefited from student funding, but did not pay it;
- Completed higher education without student financing;
- They completed higher education with student funding and paid it.
Result
A list with pre-selected In the single call will be released on the day July 29. Undergraduate students who are not pre-selected will be automatically on the waiting list to fill the unaccreated vacancies, observing the classification order. The waiting list pre-selection will take place from August 5 to September 19.
