The chairman of the Public Security Commission of, (PL-SP), summoned a meeting for next Tuesday (22) to vote for a (PL), although the president of Congress, (-AP), said that Congress is in recess.
Bilnskyj’s commission is mostly formed by former president supporters, which means the motion will easily pass.
On the afternoon of Friday (18), Alcolumbre issued a note stating that the parliamentary recess of July is maintained. “During the next two weeks, there will be no deliberative sessions or functioning of the commissions,” the statement says.
Asked if he would cancel the meeting after the alcohubre note, Billynskyj denied. “Alcolumbre is president of the Senate, I am chairman of the House Public Security Commission,” he says. “This is his problem. If he will not allow him to meet the Senate, the problem is his. I will do the Public Security Commission, Tuesday, 10 am. It is already summoned,” he says.
He argues that the House is not in parliamentary recess. “It’s not in recess, not voted for LDO. It’s a recess like that: ‘Oh, everyone agreed that it won’t,'” he adds.
The Constitution says that the president of the Senate is also the head of the National Congress, with jurisdiction over the House.
BILLENSKYJ criticizes (Supreme Federal Court) to impose precautionary measures on the former president.
“The monocratic decision of Alexandre de Moraes is absurd and illegal and occurs on Friday after the recess, that is, obviously at the time the deputies would not be in Brasilia to speak contrary,” he says.
“But what will happen is just the opposite. They will all be there and have the opportunity to use the microphone and speak up. And we will get even more organized from Monday. Monday will be everyone in Brasilia.”
