“Having these items in my hands is as if time has not passed. The pain is still so intense, so raw. These objects are like a piece of yours. A piece of me. It’s hard to believe that you were so long, and so cruel and cowardly,” Sonia continued.
The mother continued to regret Eliza’s early sharing: “It’s a wound that never closes completely. It’s like a part of us has been torn, leaving a void that echoes at every moment. Longing is a constant presence, a shadow that accompanies me in every step of mine.”
“But it was in this pain that I found the strength to follow, the pain never leaves, I learned to live with her and carry her best memories with me,” added Sonia, who still highlighted the love for her grandson: “Bruninho is the continuity of her story, it fills me with pride and hope to know that not all your dreams died with you.”
