Without quoting Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court (STF), the mayor of São Paulo spoke in exaggeration
The mayor of São Paulo, provided solidarity with former President Jair Bolsonaro on Friday (18). In an agenda in the south of the capital, he said that at the time of the attacks of 8 January, where the headquarters of the three powers were the target of the population, Bolsonaro “was not even in Brazil.”
Without quoting Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Nunes spoke in exaggeration. “The medicine, when the dose is very strong, he does not heal, he becomes bad. We can not exaggerate. Need to be calm, calm. I have no information on the process data, but I wanted to leave my solidarity with President Jair Bolsonaro. He is investigated by a depredation that at the time he was not even in Brazil,” he said.
On Wednesday, Nunes had already said that the Supreme Court was taking the case of former president “at a rapid pace, like a marathon.” The mayor of the state capital and Bolsonaro went through moments of “bite and blow” before alienating themselves. The intermediation was made by the Governor of the State, Tarcísio de Freitas, during the municipal elections of 2024.
As I nod to Bolsonaro and in exchange for his support and allies, Nunes accepted the plate with a pocket vice, Colonel Mello Araújo – who has been criticized lately behind the scenes. People close to the mayor believe that in a possible attempt by Nunes to reach the Bandeirantes Palace, Mello Araújo would be a harmful factor.
