The operation of the PF (Federal Police) triggered on Friday (18) against former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) happens in the context of the investigation that investigates the crimes of coercion in the course of the process, obstruction of justice and attack on national sovereignty.
The lawsuit was authorized by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court (STF), after a favorable opinion of the PGR (Attorney General’s Office), which accepted representation of the PF itself.
Agents meet search and seizure warrants at the former president’s residence and at the headquarters of the PL in Brasilia. The operation also aimed to apply precautionary measures.
According to the CNNBy determination of Moraes, Jair Bolsonaro will wear an electronic anklet, be in night home collection and on weekends.
The former president is also prohibited from using social networks and communicating with foreign ambassadors and diplomats and other defendants and investigated.
