Budapest criticizes the European Union budget. The Hungarian Prime Minister claims that the finance allocation masks efforts to accept Ukraine.

The only aim of the upcoming European Union budget is a cunning and hidden way to accept Ukraine into the Union. He said this on Friday in a regular interview for the public service radio Kossuth Radio Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, informs TASR newsletter in Budapest.

“It follows from the statements of experts that almost a quarter of the new EU budget would go to Ukraine,” underlined the Prime Minister, according to which the EU budget has no real strategic basis. “This budget has a single purpose – cunningly and hidden to accept Ukraine into the Union,” Orbán added, saying that Brussels should establish a cooperation relationship with Ukraine and not accept it as a member.

The upcoming budget and access of the Euroblock to Ukraine was compared by the Hungarian Prime Minister to migration. “Once you let her go in, you don’t get it out,” Orbán underlined.
