Groups of Palmeiras advisers articulate a proposal for amendment in the club’s statute to enable a new reelection of President Leila Pereira, who is in the second term in the summer.
Currently, the Palmeiras Statute allows a reelection, two consecutive terms with three years each. The last change within these aspects took place in 2018, when the Deliberative Council (CD) approved the proposal for a two -year term increase to three.
The groups of counselors who consider formulating the proposal to expand reelection are linked to the “Lecture” and “UVB” plates (Green and White Union), according to Itatiaia.
Husband of and according to the most voted counselor in the history of, José Roberto Lamacchia, from UVB, was consulted about the articulation. He, however, rejected to participate and stated that the proposal needs to be placed in a vote to appreciate the Deliberative Council.
Leila herself was sought by counselors and associates to talk about the possibility of a new reelection, but also assured that she would not participate in the articulation and reiterated focus on the club’s sports goals.

The president felt flattered by demand and interpreted as a general approval of management, both in the administrative and sports aspect.
If it is officialized, the proposal for change in the statute needs to be placed in a vote on the CD and, later, to pass the Assembly of Members. The report found that there is perception that the joint can advance.
Leila’s current term as Palmeiras President Vale until December 2027. She was reelected in November last year, with 2,295 votes, against 878 votes from Savério Orlandi, then adversary in the election.
